Holiday Movie Night

One of the best holiday traditions is the holiday movies. From The Grinch to Proud family's Kwanzaa special, the moment you start seeing holiday specials pop up on TV you know the season is in full swing.

But holiday movies shouldn't be something that's just on in the background while you do chores.

A holiday-themed movie night is a great event to host that's certain to bring friends and family together. A chance bring everyone's fave up for debate. Is Die-hard more of a Christmas movie than Frozen? Which actor played the best Santa? Holiday movie night is a tradition everyone will want you to start hosting.

But since this is the Urban Hostess we know you're here for more than just a list of Netflix movies. You're here because you are the ultimate host and need more than just a blanket and a remote. So let's get started!

First up, you CAN'T have a movie night without popcorn. A side by side popcorn set up with one savory and one sweet is a perfect snack spread that will cover all your bases. Our Truffle Parm and White Cookie Popcorn are two perfect examples of elevated, super fun popcorn that might have your party chatting during the whole film!

Now that we have our movie popcorn we need our movie drinks. Our choice for holiday drinks includes a light and festive Pomegranate Ginger Fizz and a warm and cozy Feliz Navidad Negra. Fizzy drinks are best for these types of parties because they are light, fun, and remind many of us of our youth where we just drank cola by the liter. Seeing that this is a movie night it's probably a good idea to break out the drink dispensers. Because once the movies get going no one is going to really want to be a bartender. Not to fret though, a movie bar with everything set up for self-service can be convenient as well as eye catching.

If your movie night vibes are more blankets, roaring fires, and Best Man Holiday, then a Feliz Navidad Negra would be more your speed. A big warm mug of coffee agave curled up under an even bigger blanket sounds like a great way to kick off a movie night filled, with movies that hit right in the feels.

With everything set up, you are finally ready for the fun to begin! Whether it be the music, getting together with family, or the guy in the magical red suit, holiday movies represent what we love most about this time of year. Everyone loves a good debate, so how about having people bring over which movie they think represents the holidays the best or which is the most underrated. It's a good way to tell your friends just how wrong they are!

Happy Holidays from Urban Hostess!
